1-MINUTE READ

Align Technology has introduced new features to its Align Oral Health Suite digital platform, connecting information from intraoral scans with artificial intelligence-assisted radiographic analysis.

Announced in July 2026, these innovations are intended to support oral health assessments, visualization of clinical findings and communication of treatment options to patients.

What’s New?

3 Key Points

  • Image integration: Align Oral Health Suite connects three-dimensional information from iTero scanners with the analysis of two-dimensional radiographs through Align X-ray Insights.
  • AI-assisted analysis: Align X-ray Insights highlights potential radiographic findings, including caries, dental calculus and periodontal bone loss, to assist professional review.
  • Gingival visualization: a new tool displays gingival contours and helps explain conditions such as possible gingival recession.

How Can It Be Used in Clinical Practice?

Combining intraoral and radiographic information helps dental professionals present different findings within a single digital environment and explain the relationship between clinical conditions and treatment options.

The platform also includes monitoring tools such as iTero TimeLapse, which allows digital records obtained at different times to be compared.

Important: artificial intelligence-assisted analysis is a supporting tool and does not replace the dentist’s clinical interpretation.

Availability: features may vary depending on the country and applicable regulatory authorizations.
